Her Music

Her Music is an artistic initiative dedicated to celebrating the creativity and contributions of women composers and performers in classical and contemporary music.

The project presents concert programs that bring together female musicians and works by women composers from different historical periods and cultural backgrounds. By creating a platform for artistic dialogue, Her Music highlights the diversity of women’s voices in music and encourages new perspectives in concert programming.

A concert of the Her Music series took place on 4 August 2025 at the Prunksaal of the Austrian National Library in Vienna, featuring an international ensemble of musicians including Sabina Hasanova (piano), Lucy Landymore (percussion and vibraphone), Özlem Bulut (soprano), and Attilia Kiyoko Cernitori (cello).

The program presented works by women composers such as Lili Boulanger, Clara Schumann, Barbara Strozzi, Lera Auerbach, Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, and Marie Avadis, alongside contemporary works by the performing artists themselves.

Through this initiative, the Akademie aims to promote artistic diversity, support female creativity in music, and foster international collaboration among women musicians.
